West Feliciana Farm is seeking a dedicated
Organic Vegetable/Fruit/Flower Gardener
to join our team! If you have experience in vegetable gardening and a passion for sustainable agriculture, we'd love to hear from you.
Planting & Cultivation
Prepare soil using organic compost, mulch, and natural amendments
Plant vegetables, fruits, flowers, and herbs according to seasonal schedules
Use companion planting and crop rotation to maintain soil health
Maintenance & Care
Water plants efficiently (drip irrigation, rainwater collection, etc.)
Weed garden beds using manual or organic methods (no synthetic herbicides)
Monitor for pests and diseases, applying organic treatments as needed
Prune plants to promote healthy growth and high yields
Harvesting & Processing
Harvest produce at peak ripeness for best quality and nutrition
Clean, sort, and package fruits, vegetables, and flowers for sale or distribution
Maintain records of planting schedules, yields, and garden health
Farm & Equipment Maintenance
Maintain garden tools, compost bins, and irrigation systems
Build and repair garden structures like trellises, raised beds, and fencing
Position Details
Full-time or part-time available
Full-time positions include benefits
Hands-on experience in vegetable gardening required
Located between St Francisville and Woodville, MS
