Overview The Events and Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing a wide range of internal and external campus events that support institutional priorities, community engagement, and donor relations. This role coordinates official functions and initiatives led by the Dean’s Office, supports Development Board activities, and manages the campus event system to ensure efficient scheduling and execution. Additionally, the position leads efforts to strengthen alumni engagement through strategic outreach, relationship building, and event‑based initiatives. The ideal candidate brings experience in event or project coordination, strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency with standard office software, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, with preference given to those with experience in higher education or event and fundraising environments.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and implement internal and external campus events, including academic, administrative, community, donor and institutional events.

Coordinate events sponsored or hosted by the Dean’s Office, including official college functions, ceremonies, receptions and special initiatives.

Coordinate and attend Great Falls College Development Board meetings and events.

Develop and implement strategies to expand alumni engagement with a focus on events, outreach and relationship building.

Maintain and manage the campus event management system (EvM).

Qualifications Required:

Three (3) years of experience in office administration, event coordination, project coordination or a related field.

Demonstrated proficiency with standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work independently.

Preferred:

Associate degree or higher in office technology, administrative support, event management, project management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working in a higher education or campus environment.

Experience coordinating meetings, events or fundraising activities.

Experience using event management or scheduling systems.

Physical Demands This position is located indoors in a busy and often fast‑paced environment. Walking, standing, sitting, stooping, reaching, and occasional light lifting required. The ability to work for long periods of time in an open space with many interruptions is necessary. Extensive computer use.

Compensation and Benefits Hourly salary range: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour. Benefits Eligible: Yes.
