Job Description
Reports to:
Director of Buildings and Grounds
General Summary:
To assist in the implementation of a Preventive Maintenance Program and to fulfill daily maintenance requirements at school facilities, thereby enabling all students to have full educational use of them.
Essential Functions
Mows lawn at assigned facilities, trims and edges as directed by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
Performs required equipment maintenance as scheduled
Performs general grounds keeping tasks as assigned
Removes trash in the area before mowing
Treats equipment with care; raises mower on sharp turns
Remains on tractor at all times when mower engine is running; does not operate equipment in immediate area when students are present; exercises safety precautions at all times
Cleans mowing unit daily after use
Immediately reports to supervisor any damage to school property
Reports any needed repairs/service to mowing equipment to supervisor
Performs other reasonably-related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Excellent work record
Good mechanical aptitude
Proven ability to work well with others as part of a team
Length of Contract:
Summer schedule
