Senior Director – Strategy & Execution Deal Finance (M&A) at EY-Parthenon. This role leads and executes M&A projects for CFO agenda and Finance function across sectors, managing client service teams and developing business and practice opportunities.

Your key responsibilities

Lead and manage M&A projects, focusing on the CFO agenda and Finance function.

Direct client service teams in developing and executing transaction strategies.

Drive business and practice development, including client pursuits and presentations.

Coach and mentor team members to achieve career goals.

Build strong relationships with senior clients, influencing key decision makers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 8 years of related experience; or graduate degree and ~7 years of experience.

MBA preferred.

Detailed knowledge and experience of the Finance function.

Significant M&A management consulting experience.

Experience in business integrations, divestitures, carve‑outs; quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Experience in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning, order‑to‑cash, procure‑to‑pay.

Knowledge of financial information systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos, or other common systems.

Experience in financial process benchmarking, finance organization design, process redesign, shared services, outsourced or transition service agreements (TSA).

Leadership experience in complex business environments.

Ability to synthesize solutions for integrations/divestitures conflicts and prioritize projects.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills; ability to build lasting internal and external relationships.

Excellent analytical skills, translating complex data into insights.

Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot.

Reside in or commutable to office location.

Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.

Ideally you will also have

Proven excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transaction role.

Additional industry experience.

Experience in another large professional services organization.

Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package; US base salary range $250,000–$290,000, plus medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and generous paid time off.

Hybrid work model: 40–60% in‑person for client roles.
