Join EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Finance (M&A) practice, where we work on the most complex and high‑profile global transactions for Fortune 500 CFOs across diverse industry sectors. Our seasoned team of buy‑side and sell‑side transaction advisors bring deep sector expertise and functional knowledge to our clients. We develop deal strategies, prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, and advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.

Your key responsibilities As a Senior Director, you will lead and execute M&A projects focused on the CFO agenda and Finance function, managing projects across sectors and directing client service teams in developing and executing strategies for transactions. You will also focus on business and practice development and develop team members to achieve their career goals.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 7 years of related work experience.

MBA is preferred.

Detailed knowledge of and experience in the Finance function.

Significant M&A management consulting experience.

Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve‑outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Experience in one or more of: general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, planning, order‑to‑cash, and procure‑to‑pay.

Knowledge of and experience with financial information systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos and/or other common systems.

Experience in financial process benchmarking, finance organization design, process redesign, shared services, process outsourcing and/or transition service agreements (TSA).

Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.

The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts, prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges.

Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long‑lasting relationships both internally and externally.

Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.

Knowledge of how to leverage firm‑approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.

Must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to the office location for this position.

Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary; travel may be required beyond the work location based on client and project needs.

Ideal to have

A proven record of excellence in a mergers or acquisitions transactions role.

Some additional industry experience.

Experience gained within another large professional services organization.

Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $250,000 to $290,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client‑serving roles to work together in person 40–60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
