is seeking a proven, hands-on Used Vehicle Sales Manager to lead our used vehicle department.
This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced automotive professional who knows how to appraise trades, manage inventory, control reconditioning, turn used inventory, protect gross, and lead from the front. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the used vehicle operation, make strong business decisions, and help drive consistent results in a community-focused dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the used vehicle sales department
Meet monthly sales volume, gross profit, and departmental performance objectives
Work with the General Manager to forecast monthly sales, inventory needs, and expenses
Appraise trades accurately and make sound acquisition decisions
Manage used vehicle inventory levels, aging, and inventory turn
Price vehicles competitively based on market conditions, vehicle age, and inventory strategy
Maintain strong oversight of reconditioning costs, timelines, and vehicle readiness
Plan and control the merchandising and display of used inventory
Monitor auction activity, market trends, pricing, and wholesale opportunities
Establish and manage wholesaling activities as needed
Recruit, train, motivate, and hold used vehicle sales associates accountable to performance standards
Coach and assist sales staff in customer interactions, desking deals, and closing sales
Ensure salespeople are informed on current used inventory, pricing, promotions, and advertising efforts
Partner with the Finance Department to support efficient deal flow and a strong customer experience
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, employees, and vendors
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions
Qualifications
2+ years of automotive sales management experience required, with prior used vehicle management experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of used car inventory management, trade appraisals, pricing strategy, inventory turn, reconditioning control, and gross profit performance
Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a sales team accountable to goals and results
Strong desking, closing, and customer negotiation skills
Ability to make sound business decisions regarding inventory acquisition, pricing, and profitability
Experience with dealership systems; Reynolds & Reynolds experience is a plus
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of departmental performance
Comfortable in a performance-based / commission-driven environment
Professional appearance, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a structured, process-driven dealership environment
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required
