
Contract Architect / Architectural Designer (Construction Documents Specialist)

BNDL Architecture is seeking a highly skilled contract architect or architectural designer to assist with the preparation of construction document sets for residential and commercial projects throughout Southern California.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong, and experienced in navigating multiple local jurisdictions. You will work closely with our team to develop clear, coordinated, construction document–ready, and permit-ready drawing sets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine architectural construction documents (plans, elevations, sections, and details)
Produce high-quality detailing consistent with California residential & commercial construction standards
Incorporate plan check comments and jurisdiction-specific requirements
Ensure drawing sets are clear, accurate, and permit-ready
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience, with proven ability to produce complete, permit-ready construction document sets independently
Strong experience producing complete construction document sets (required)
Excellent architectural detailing skills with a strong technical foundation
High proficiency in Revit (required)
Working knowledge of the California Building Code (CBC/CRC)
Experience working with multiple jurisdictions across Southern California (highly preferred)
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines

Remote, with preference for candidates based in Southern California but not required
