The company is reinventing the stellarator using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils thereby replacing the intricate, complex modular magnets required in all other stellarator architectures. Thea Energy is on a mission to create a limitless source of zero emission energy for a sustainable future.**Position Overview:**Thea Energy is looking for a Director - Government Programs to lead the Company’s relationships with federal, state, and local governments to ensure that Thea Energy can access government programs and funding to build its upcoming Eos integrated stellarator and Helios power plants. You will work closely with Thea Energy leadership and government stakeholders to develop and execute the Company’s commercialization roadmap. Thea Energy’s dynamic team is made up of self-motivated individuals with an excitement for solving complex problems.### Key Responsibility Areas:* Own the company strategy and execution for government programs* Partner with government organizations including the US Department of Energy* Identify and help develop federal, state, and local initiatives and relationships with organizations that are building fusion related programs* Collaborate with and provide guidance to government stakeholders to help develop policies, programs, and regulations for fusion* Manage lobbyists, consultants, and industry relationships### Ideal Experience & Skillsets:* Expertise in fusion energy technologies and the fusion policy landscape* Expertise in creating and influencing government programs for new technologies and energy* Expertise in securing non-dilutive government funding to build infrastructure and energy projects* Deep and credible network at all levels of the federal government, specifically within the Department of Energy### Company Benefits:* Salary range $150,000-$280,000* Comprehensive health benefits (e.g. medical/dental/vision)* Employee equity stock options* 20 days PTOIt’s not necessary to meet all of the skillsets outlined above.
