
Senior Director of Pricing

JOB SUMMARY
The Director leads the development and execution of the company’s national pricing strategy across all chassis product lines, regions, and customer channels. The role is accountable for driving profitable growth by aligning price architecture with market demand, competitive pressures, production economics, and lifecycle value. Working closely with sales, operations, supply chain, finance, and commercial leadership, this position ensures pricing decisions support volume objectives while protecting margin integrity. The Director also shapes enterprise‑wide pricing governance, enabling consistent, data‑driven decisions that optimize profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Relationship Management & Cross‑Functional Alignment
Build strong partnerships with Sales, Operations, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure pricing decisions reflect market conditions, production economics, and customer value.
Serve as the primary advisor to commercial leadership on pricing strategy, customer segmentation, and margin optimization.
Strategic Pricing Leadership
Brings forward proactive strategy, insights, and executive‑level thought leadership to senior leadership, including the CEO, in regular weekly engagements.
Recommend enterprise‑level pricing strategies to senior leadership based on customer profiles, competitive positioning, risk exposure, technology requirements, and historical demand patterns.
Lead the development of pricing architectures that support all channels while maintaining disciplined margin management.
Leads and develops a high‑performing team, providing clear direction, coaching, and accountability to achieve objectives.
Pricing Models, Processes & Governance
Applies advanced modeling and analytical rigor while leading complex, enterprise‑wide initiatives across the organization.
Design, implement, and continuously refine pricing models, tools, and workflows that improve accuracy, speed, and scalability across the organization.
Establish and maintain internal controls, approval workflows, and compliance standards to ensure pricing integrity and audit readiness.
Create pricing frameworks, thresholds, and guardrails that promote consistency, transparency, and accountability across all regions and product lines.
Negotiation & Commercial Execution
Provide pricing recommendations and support strategic and tactical negotiation planning for key accounts, large fleet deals, and long‑term supply agreements.
Partner with Sales to ensure pricing strategies are executed effectively and aligned with customer value propositions.
Market Intelligence & Performance Monitoring
Monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, cost drivers, and margin pressures to identify risks and opportunities.
Recommend proactive pricing adjustments to sustain target margins and support volume objectives across chassis platforms.
Stay ahead of market developments—including regulatory changes, material cost fluctuations, and technology shifts—to inform forward‑looking pricing actions.
Profitability Optimization & Reporting
Develop and implement targeted pricing actions across customer segments, product families, and regions to maximize enterprise profitability.
Deliver clear, data‑driven insights and executive‑level reporting on pricing performance, margin trends, and optimization outcomes.
Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve profitability, including cost‑to‑serve analysis, product lifecycle pricing, and mix‑management strategies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Build a high‑performing pricing organization by coaching team members, strengthening analytical and commercial capabilities, and driving long‑term engagement and retention.
Deliver pricing‑focused analytical guidance that informs sales planning, annual budgeting, margin targets, and regional performance strategies, ensuring decisions are grounded in data‑driven insights.
Lead the design, enhancement, and deployment of pricing processes, governance frameworks, and analytical tools that improve accuracy, speed, and scalability across the enterprise.
Conduct specialized pricing and profitability analyses for cross‑functional initiatives and executive‑level projects, providing actionable recommendations that support Business Unit and Enterprise leadership priorities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field required.
At least five years of progressive experience in financial modeling required.
Ten years of experience in Pricing roles, and/or
A combination of education and work experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Competent in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, with high level of Excel proficiency (e.g., complex formulas, scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and large‑scale data manipulation).
Demonstrates strong professional presence, regularly delivering clear, concise, and confident updates to senior leadership.
Strategic thinker, self‑starter, and results‑oriented with strong communication skills.
Excellent analytical abilities with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with experience leading, motivating, and developing teams to deliver high‑impact results.
Ability to interpret customer needs with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week for local candidates. Remote option available for non‑local applicants.
