Strategic Pricing Director
The Strategic Pricing Director is the enterprise leader responsible for advancing and embedding value-based pricing across BD business units. Partnering with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Innovation, and regional leadership, this role ensures pricing decisions reflect customer value, clinical and economic outcomes, and BD's long-term growth objectives. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Pricing, the Director leads cross-business initiatives, pricing governance, analytics, and change management to build scalable capabilities and deliver sustainable, profitable growth across BD's global portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Enterprise Value?Based Pricing Leadership Pricing Governance, Analytics & Execution Capability Building & Culture Change Transactional Lean Management Business Unit & Market Partnership Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic pricing, value management, or commercial strategy. Demonstrated experience implementing value-based pricing in complex, multi-business, global organizations. Strong ability to influence across functions and levels without direct authority; proven balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Familiarity with health economics, reimbursement dynamics, and customer value outcomes. Proven change management leadership to embed new frameworks, governance, and tools across a global matrix. Advanced analytics capability (e.g., Power BI, Minitab, and similar tools) with ability to translate data into executive-ready insights. Transactional Lean / Continuous Improvement experience (standard work, Daily Management System (DMS), structured problem solving) applied to commercial/pricing processes. Strong commercial acumen and market insight in medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare, with proven ability to link pricing decisions to growth strategy and competitive positioning.
