Technical Architect Director Global Public Sector - FedCiv

We are looking for a leader who has experience supporting customers in one or more of the following industries:
Global Public Sector Federal Civilian (FedCiv) – work with non‑defense federal agencies such as Health & Human Services, Commerce, and Transportation to drive digital transformation initiatives that improve citizen services. Candidates must be able to navigate federal procurement processes and obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives that grow the consulting practice and contribute to the community’s knowledge base and expertise
Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive business value
Collaborate with very strong communication skills, especially in teaching complex concepts and creative, prescriptive thinking
Identify and proactively manage risk areas, seeing issues through to resolution
Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with customers and third‑party partners
Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions maintainable
Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions that meet client needs
Contribute to a program vision while advising on program/project strategies for enabling technologies, including the Salesforce Platform
Lead technical architecture and governance for enterprise‑level customer engagements
Required Qualifications
15+ years of enterprise architecture and/or consulting experience
Strong application design skills combined with data, integration, and security architecture expertise
Strong presentation skills; ability to defend a point of view to a variety of audiences
Detail‑oriented and able to rapidly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create appropriate materials for diverse audiences
Effective listener able to communicate with people in diverse roles
Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration
Resourceful and innovative thinker who solves problems
2‑4 years of people‑leadership experience
Demonstrates integrity, transparency, and reliability
Proficient collaborator on team projects
Clear, concise speaking and writing; influences and engages C‑Level with confidence
U.S. citizenship required
Note Candidates must reside in the DMV area. This is a remote‑first position, but local residency is required for occasional on‑site client visits.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline; equivalent work experience considered
Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organization
Application design and development background
CTA certification or ongoing pursuit of CTA
Experience managing large, full life‑cycle Salesforce implementations
Executive presence enabling influence on outcomes
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
