Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000

Position Summary
The Director of Finance is responsible for managing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and sound fiscal management. This role oversees day-to-day accounting functions while supporting leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Oversee general accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and year-end close processes.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to protect organizational assets.
Budgeting & Planning
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Assist leadership with financial forecasting and planning.
- Provide financial insight to support business decisions.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and present financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors.
- Ensure timely filing of required financial reports and tax-related documents.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise finance and accounting staff.
- Partner with department leaders to support financial accountability.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Participate in leadership discussions and organizational planning.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Prior experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- CPA or advanced accounting credentials (preferred, not required).
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based.
- Occasional extended hours during audits, budget preparation, or month-end close.
