
Strategist I - Firm Strategy

The Competitive Insights team in the Firm Strategy division is responsible for scanning the external environment to inform the firm's strategic choices, assessing performance relative to the industry, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams in helping frame, design and execute strategic solutions, including the development of hypotheses, gathering data, analyzing results, and presenting findings to executive audiences.
Lead the formulation of division, business, and functional strategies across multiple time horizons, integrating findings from internal research, external developments, and leadership's priorities.
Drive multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
Collaborate with key stakeholders on solutions to issues that exist at the business, functional, and team levels.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders; and engage & influence senior stakeholders of the firm in the development of and activation of enterprise, business, and functional strategies.
Operate semi-autonomously in environments where excellent thought leadership and ability to collaborate with peers and senior leaders is required for progress.
Co-lead the creation of analytical insights related to strategic plans over multiple time horizons.
Develop a deep understanding of the internal client's business objectives and challenges.
Co-facilitate alignment sessions, working sessions, and workshops with key stakeholders and senior executives, incorporating novel/outside-the-box engagement tactics and methods, resulting in aligned decisions/recommendations and high participant engagement.
Drive analysis using both qualitative and quantitative (e.g., financial modeling, analysis) methods, engaging relevant subject matter experts inside and outside the firm where appropriate to generate insights and recommendations that advance strategic thinking of the enterprise.

Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
1-3 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for analytical and/or core strategy work within financial services.
Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills are required.
Familiarity with financial statements, valuation and financial modelling are required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as the position will be responsible for significant thought leadership.
Experience contributing to high-impact strategy assignments is required.
Experience managing contributions to the work of multiple projects is required.
What could set you apart:
Advanced Degree(s) or Certification(s) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Analytics are preferred.
3-5 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for analytical and/or core strategy work within financial services.
Management consulting experience is preferred, and knowledge of the wealth management industry is an additional plus.
