About the Role
A well-established commercial real estate group, working in partnership with an external institutional client, is seeking a
hands-on Senior Asset Manager
to oversee a portfolio of commercial assets. This individual will drive strategic planning, budgeting, asset performance oversight, and long-term portfolio recommendations—including evaluating hold, develop, reposition, or disposition scenarios.
This is a highly visible,
Hands-On
client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, deep asset-level knowledge, and proficiency in financial modeling using
ARGUS .
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and present
5-year strategic plans
for each commercial asset, outlining capital needs, risk factors, and value-creation pathways.
Lead
annual budgeting , quarterly forecasts, and operational oversight for the portfolio.
Conduct detailed
ARGUS and Excel modeling , including cash flows, valuations, lease-up scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
Provide actionable recommendations to the client regarding hold/sell decisions, redevelopment potential, repositioning opportunities, and market-driven changes.
Oversee and monitor
leasing performance , tenant retention, TI/LC strategies, rent rolls, and competitive market conditions.
Prepare and deliver
weekly client reports and presentations , communicating performance, risk, and strategic direction clearly and proactively.
Support transaction processes and facilities managemeent needs
Maintain a hands-on approach, ensuring accuracy of financials, assumptions, and supporting documentation across the portfolio.
Qualifications
5+ years of asset management experience
within commercial real estate (office, industrial, retail, flex, or mixed-use).
Strong Excel modeling capabilities and financial analysis skills.
Experience preparing and executing asset business plans and budgets
Exceptional communication skills; must be comfortable engaging with institutional clients and presenting recommendations.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree required
Ability to work
100% onsite along the Peninsula .
