Job Description Associate Director of Workforce Education (ADWE) at UNLV Career Services and Workforce Development. Reports to Director of Career Services and Workforce Development. Responsible for collaboratively executing and implementing research-informed strategic planning and collaborative processes that advance the mission, vision, and services of CSWD throughout the campus and beyond.

Responsibilities

Enhance visibility of UNLV’s Workforce Development programs and efforts in the community.

Establish relationships with a wide variety of employer, community, and non‑profit partners.

Lead and execute campus planning and initiatives around curricular integration of workforce‑aligned learning and career preparation to support positive student and alumni career outcomes.

Coordinate Employer Educational Benefits program implementation and management, including MGM COP and Amazon Choice programs.

Lead campus efforts to establish policy and processes to recognize credit for prior learning.

Work closely with UNLV Online, UNLV Lifelong Learning, and key units to develop, deliver, and manage workforce and career‑oriented microcredentials and certificates.

Build programming and collaborate across campus to define, develop, and deliver comprehensive workforce education opportunities and impactful outcomes.

Develop expertise around workforce and career data to drive a data‑informed approach and share trends with colleagues, partners, and employers.

Support CSWD’s mission and institutional goals; contribute to enrollment growth and equitable student success.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or CHEA.

3‑5 years of progressive experience in higher education environments, including program development, policy implementation, staff training, and auditing.

Demonstrated history of implementing technological solutions and innovative approaches to improve operational outcomes and successful project management.

Minimum 3 years experience in employer engagement, workforce education, community relations, or related field.

1‑3 years supervisory experience.

1‑3 years management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. is preferred.
