Director of Finance and Accounting (CPA Required)
Compensation: DOE $130K + Company Bonus Structure
About the Opportunity TempExperts is partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the Tampa Bay area seeking a strategic and hands‑on Accounting Director / Finance Leader to oversee financial operations, administrative leadership, and team development.
This is a high‑visibility leadership role ideal for a CPA or senior accounting professional who enjoys influencing business decisions, optimizing financial performance, and building scalable processes within a dynamic environment. The position offers the opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership while making a meaningful impact on company growth and operational strategy.
What You’ll Lead & Own Financial Leadership & Strategy
Oversee full‑cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and month‑end close
Serve as the organization’s ERP superuser, driving system efficiency and financial accuracy
Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and executive reporting packages
Lead cost analysis, margin improvement initiatives, pricing studies, and financial modeling
Manage cash flow planning, treasury functions, and banking relationships
Maintain accurate billing processes, customer agreements, and fixed asset schedules
Operational & Administrative Leadership
Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, onboarding, and employee separations
Manage corporate insurance programs including property, casualty, and workers’ compensation
Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements at the local, state, and federal levels
Partner with leadership on policy development, internal controls, and financial strategy
Team Leadership & Business Partnership
Lead and mentor accounting and inventory team members
Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling
Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost‑saving and process improvement opportunities
Serve as a key member of the management team contributing to cross‑functional decisions
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
8+ years of progressive accounting experience including team leadership
Experience within manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory‑driven environments strongly preferred
ERP experience required; SAP Business One experience is highly valued
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency
Ability to solve complex business challenges and communicate effectively with executive leadership
High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
