Overview
K2’s Security Screening Group (SSG) is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support high‑visibility proposal efforts centered on aviation security and construction initiatives. This role works closely with aviation leadership, subject matter experts, and cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and on‑time proposals for complex aviation security construction projects.
Aviation security construction is the primary focus, with additional support provided across other SSG proposal efforts as needed. Submission quality is non‑negotiable—the Proposal Coordinator is accountable for excellence across technical content, management approach, pricing coordination, formatting, and strict adherence to solicitation requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordinate end‑to‑end proposal development activities, including schedules, milestones, and compliance tracking
Serve as the primary liaison between SSG leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and proposal contributors
Translate technical and construction-related input into clear, compliant proposal content for government solicitations
Support proposal writing, editing, assembly, and final submission
Create and format proposal graphics, tables, and supporting documentation
Maintain proposal pipelines, templates, and repositories using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365
Coordinate internal meetings, communications, and deadlines related to proposal efforts
Stay informed on aviation security, construction trends, and government procurement activity to support proposal strategy
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in proposal coordination, technical writing, or administrative support (government, aviation, or construction preferred)
Experience supporting government or construction-focused proposals (RFPs, RFQs, SOWs)
Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts related to systems integration and construction
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Office 365
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Additional Details
Travel: Occasional travel for meetings, industry events, or proposal activities
Schedule: Full‑time. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required
