Position Description
JOB TITLE: Campus Athletic Director
REPORTS TO: CCA District Director of Athletics
STATUS: Salary Exempt, 12-month Calendar

Purpose Statement The campus athletic director is responsible for glorifying God by maintaining an organized and efficient athletic program to ensure student-athletes are disciplined with excellence through athletic participation.
Scope This position oversees all aspects of the campus athletic program. This position represents the athletic department to other CCA departments, the school community, and external stakeholders (officials, opponents, facilities, etc.).
Specific Responsibilities
Oversee, guide, and evaluate the athletic administrative staff in areas including but not limited to:
Master Schedule
Transportation
Field Assignments
Athletic Eligibility
Equipment and Inventory
Officials
Safety and Security
Field Lights
Livestream Cameras
Statistics
Internal Facility Reservations (Ministry Platform)
Ensure an efficient and effective athletic schedule for over 70 teams and 19 sports, Intramural programs, and summer camps
Assign game supervision responsibilities to make sure every contest is appropriately supported.
Oversee and evaluate coaching staff, provide staff observations and effective feedback for improvement
Facilitate necessary follow-up on any issues involving students, faculty and staff.
Address and respond to concerns raised by school community stakeholders to provide support, growth, and accountability.
Develop policies, plans and procedures related to the athletics program in consultation with the system athletic director
Continually evaluate existing programs, practices, and content.
Maintain appropriate memberships with accrediting agencies, student eligibility, etc. (FHSAA, ACSI, FACA, etc.)
Oversee safe and effective administration of all athletic contests.
Observe and report facility improvement/repair to the appropriate personnel
Liaise with internal external stakeholders and departments including, but not limited to:
Facilities - Grounds, Maintenance, Events, Custodial, etc.
Communications Department
Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale departments
Officials associations
Florida High School Athletics Association
Qualifications/Skills/Gifts
Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
Strong commitment to the Philosophy and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel and to the Mission Statement of Calvary Christian Academy.
Completion of level two servant requirements, working towards level four.
Excellent organizational skills.
Gifts of administration and discernment.
Excellent interpersonal skills for relating effectively with staff members, leadership and the school body.
Excellent telephone skills.
Excellent computer and typing skills to manipulate computer applications, emails, and the google suite.
Flexible with good time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Ability to be trusted with confidential information.
Ability to prioritize.
Work Schedule Sunday Off
Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm - Office Hours
Saturday As needed
Administrative game coverage assignments occur outside of these hours. Campus athletic director will collaborate with the Director of CCA Athletics to ensure proper “Soul Keeping” in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
