As part of a thoughtful succession plan, we are seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting who will play a critical role in shaping the company’s financial future and be developed into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position in the coming years.
Position Summary The Director of Finance & Accounting will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations while providing strategic insight to support continued growth. This role requires a dynamic professional with strong business acumen who can translate financial data into actionable strategies and partner effectively across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Supervise and mentor a team of 5 accounting/finance professionals
Develop, analyze, and present financial reports and forecasts to executive leadership
Provide strategic financial guidance to support business planning and decision‑making
Partner closely with operations and sales teams to understand business drivers and improve performance
Participate in executive‑level leadership meetings and contribute to overall company strategy
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls
Support long‑term planning initiatives as part of the company’s succession strategy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
Proven experience in financial leadership, ideally in a growing or multi‑entity organization
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial results and communicate insights clearly
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and build relationships with non‑financial stakeholders
Leadership experience with a track record of developing teams
