
Total Rewards Analyst

The Total Rewards Analyst will administer and analyze Company compensation and benefits programs; be responsible for supporting all employee benefit programs including retirement and health and welfare matters; and help administer base pay, bonus and equity programs to ensure they align with company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement. This role is an ideal launchpad into HR with exposure and experience in compensation, benefits, people analytics and enhancing employee experience.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day benefits administration including responding to employee inquiries related to all benefit plans
Manage the relationship with vendors to maximize the outcomes and ensure that employee benefit programs deliver the highest of quality aligned with Kirby’s values.
Partner with Finance, HR, Payroll and other departments to address and ensure accurate and timely benefit-related payroll deductions and vendor payments are properly recorded
Regularly monitor compliance with federal regulatory requirements and address issues as necessary.
Audit interface files between HRIS/Payroll system, benefit system and vendor partners.
Maintain and update plan documents, summary plan descriptions and contracts for benefit plans.
Conduct compensation market research and provide compensation recommendations for new hires and internal job changes
Administer compensation cycles, including annual increases, bonus planning, and long-term equity planning.
Prepare and maintain job descriptions, ensuring descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents. Assesses respective job duties to determine appropriate classification and salary range.
Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; conducts data analysis to support decision making on compensation decisions.
Prepare and interpret data and cost analyses and recommend changes or updates to the company’s existing processes or policies.
Recommend process improvements and automation, including implementation of AI and technology-enabled solutions to increase efficiencies and employee experience.
Capabilities
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data (Excel proficiency required; experience with data tools or systems a plus)
Strong attention to detail with a mindset for continuous improvement
Ability to engage with, and effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders from front line employees through executive level
Strong ability to manage projects across a variety of groups with the ability to simplify complex projects into easily understood initiatives.
