Job Title: Civil Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a Civil 3D CAD Technician/Designer to support the design and plan preparation associated with civil site development projects. This role involves developing Construction Documents under the direction of a Project Engineer or Project Manager for various civil design projects, including site development, stormwater infrastructure, grading and drainage, erosion control, and utility designs.
Responsibilities
Develop site layouts and create design plans both independently and under the direction of Project Engineers.
Develop preliminary grading designs.
Develop preliminary utility layouts.
Assemble and coordinate plan sets with multiple engineering disciplines, including applicable reference files.
Perform redline corrections.
Demonstrate expertise with CAD modeling and design tools such as AutoDesk Civil 3D (preferred) and MicroStation InRoads.
Demonstrate expertise in working with client‑specific CAD standards.
Apply standardized drawing techniques and perform basic quantity and geometry calculations.
Essential Skills
Proficient in AutoDesk Civil 3D (preferred) and MicroStation InRoads.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience in civil drafting/design.
4+ years of experience in land development design (preferred but not required).
Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's Degree or applicable experience in civil drafting/design.
Candidates with local experience are preferred.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00/yr.
Competitive compensation weekly pay benefits package: Medical, Dental and Vision 100% paid for by the company.
Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Tega Cay, SC.
