Position Overview
Karl Road Baptist Church
seeks an Interim Worship Leader to guide our congregation in Christ-centered worship through music and liturgy. This position works closely with the Interim Lead Pastor to create meaningful worship experiences that serve our diverse congregation and support the church's mission.

Primary Responsibilities Worship Planning & Preparation
Collaborate with the Interim Lead Pastor to select songs and develop Sunday service orders that align with sermon scripture and themes.
Prepare weekly worship plans in advance to allow for adequate rehearsal and technical preparation.
Sunday Morning Leadership
Lead congregational singing during Sunday worship services.
Provide clear, confident musical and spiritual leadership from the platform.
Create an atmosphere of authentic worship that invites full congregational participation.
Team Development & Coordination
Schedule and lead volunteer musicians for weekly services.
Conduct rehearsals with worship team members to ensure quality musical preparation.
Foster a culture of spiritual preparation and excellence among worship volunteers.
Technical & Administrative
Manage song lyric projection for all services, ensuring accuracy and timing.
Operate and maintain proficiency in Proclaim (worship presentation software).
Utilize Planning Center for scheduling, planning, and team communication.
Coordinate with technical volunteers regarding sound, lighting, and media needs.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead through voice and/or instrument (Piano/keys preferred).
Proficiency with relevant software.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
Alignment with Karl Road Baptist Church's theology.
Position Details
Type: Part-time, Interim position.
Schedule: Sunday mornings required; additional time for planning, rehearsals, and preparation (estimated 10-15 hours per week).
Reports to: Interim Lead Pastor.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
