POSITION OVERVIEW:
Axia Capital Solutions (“Axia”) is a full-service transaction and portfolio management platform that leverages deep subject matter expertise and modern technology to assist clients with the acquisition, management, and disposition of mortgage and mortgage-related assets. We have significant growth objectives enabled by the backing and mandate of affiliates of Apollo Global Management and are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Analyst to support our Transaction Management team in connection with the acquisition, management, and disposition of residential mortgage loans for a trading and portfolio management business. This role is critical for the management of data throughout a variety of transaction workflows required to successfully execute trades. The ideal candidate thrives in a creative, fast‑moving environment and is comfortable managing data, analytics, reporting, and communications at scale.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Transactional Support
Ensure data is properly ingested, mapped, and normalized – e.g., Bid data, TPR data, custodian data, property valuation data, servicing data, etc.
Perform data validation and quality control checks to ensure data integrity.
Identify data inconsistencies and work with Transaction and Asset Management teams to remediate accordingly.
Evaluate credit, compliance, and valuation metrics to inform pricing-related impacts and strategy.
Develop dashboards and standardized reports to monitor trade pipeline and portfolio.
Generate ad hoc reporting and analytics as required to address pressing inquiries.
Data Infrastructure & Automation
Design, configure, and maintain process workflows in SaaS system of record.
Maintain rules library and develop new rules as needed to drive workflow.
Identify opportunities and implement solutions to automate workflow and reporting.
Develop scalable analytics infrastructure to support growing transaction volume.
Translate complex loan-level data into actionable insights.
Assist with database administration and data integrations.
Improve data quality controls and reconciliation processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Science, or related field
3-5 years of experience in an active financial trading or similar environment
Adept at learning and working in SaaS-type technology platforms and managing data accordingly
Building, maintaining, and querying SQL-based datasets
Strong proficiency with Excel features for data management, analytical functions, data visualization, reporting, collaboration, and automation
Experience writing rules in JSON
Experience coding in Java, .NET or other such programming languages
Experience developing and using BI tools - Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Experience with using online collaboration/project management tools, such as Asana, ClickUp, Jira, etc.
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in fast-paced trading environment
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
Strong risk awareness and controls mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with whole loan trading and transaction management
Familiarity with varied mortgage loan product types – Agency NOO, Jumbo, Non-QM, CES, HELOCs, RTL, etc.
Structured finance experience
Exposure to RML pricing model development and analytics
Pay Range:
$75,000-110,000
Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
