The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates for the position of Director of Technology. The successful candidate will provide administrative direction and technology systems management for our 3,000-student district. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated skill in technology, networks, and staff supervision, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Knowledge of and experience with networks and school application

Written and oral communication skills

Job Goal Direct the planning, acquisition, operation, maintenance and security of technology and promote its effective and ethical use in the school district.

Performance Responsibilities

Supports the implementation of the District's mission and goals.

Supports the District's instructional objectives with technology.

Develops both short-term and long-term plans for District technology infrastructure.

Assumes responsibility for the operation, maintenance and security of the District's computer hardware, software, networks, phones, security camera and data systems.

Recommends and oversees the acquisition, installation and replacement of technology infrastructure and systems.

Prepares the District's instructional computer technology budget and supervises its implementation.

Serves as a technology resource person to District staff.

Provides professional development to teachers, staff members and administrators.

Keeps abreast of new technology and remains technically competent.

Works with technology staff to disseminate information and assists them in serving as a resource people.

Participates in technology related groups that support the District's interests.

Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent may assign.
