Job Responsibilities
You will manage the HR Office for the daily operations and serve on the Executive Leadership team.
You will work with senior leadership on all matters relative to human resources by providing HR guidance referencing state and federal laws and agency's policies and procedures.
You will work closely with the agency director and divisional directors to assure human resources needs, policies, and benefits are correct, current and applied fairly.
You will advise the agency director as needed on matters relative to employees and employee relations to include terminations, grievances, SCHAC charges and federal EEO charges.
You will provide divisional managers support on how to negotiate innovative solutions to complex problems while coaching and providing education on employee relations matters.
You will work with agency leadership to develop and implement personnel practices that are consistent with agency's established policies.
You will participate in forecasting staffing needs, strategic planning efforts, accountability and workforce planning.
You will oversee employment issues including workforce ethics, recruitment, retention and mediation programs.
You will plan, implement and coordinate classification, employee relations, recruitment and employment, benefits administration and records management functions.
You will provide support on how to negotiate innovative solutions to complex problems while coaching and providing education on employee relations matters.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources with 8 years of progressive HR leadership experience.
Additional Requirements
Must have knowledge of principles and practices of HR management, policies and procedures.
Must have extensive experience in federal and state regulations affecting HR management and a firm understanding of organizational concepts.
Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and recommend and provide solutions effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships.
