We’re partnering with a leading renewable energy platform to hire a senior commercial leader focused on advancing its BESS strategy across U.S. power markets.
This role will lead revenue strategy, market selection, and commercial structuring for a ~2 GW pipeline of standalone and hybrid storage assets across multiple ISOs.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute BESS commercial strategy across key U.S. markets
Identify target ISOs/RTOs and define market entry and revenue approaches
Structure and negotiate commercial agreements (tolling, capacity, hybrid offtake, optimization)
Partner with analytics and finance teams to optimize revenue stacks and risk profiles
Engage with utilities, traders, corporates, and other counterparties
Support development, engineering, and procurement to align commercial and technical decisions
Monitor market trends (pricing, policy, IRA, interconnection, etc.) and adjust strategy accordingly
What They’re Looking For
6–10+ years in energy storage, renewables, or power markets (commercial/origination focus)
Strong understanding of U.S. power markets (ancillary services, capacity, merchant dynamics)
Experience structuring and negotiating BESS‑related agreements (RA, tolling, optimization, etc.)
Solid analytical and financial modeling capabilities
Ability to operate cross-functionally and drive deals forward
