Associate Director / Director of Development
Our client is seeking an Associate Director or Director of Development to help lead a rapidly growing portfolio of utility‑scale solar and battery storage projects across the United States. This is a high‑impact role for an experienced renewable energy developer who is ready to take full ownership of projects from site control through pre‑EPC transition, with a particular focus on ERCOT and the Carolinas.
Responsibilities In this position, you will drive the full development lifecycle, manage interconnection strategy, oversee permitting and environmental diligence, support offtake activities, and guide projects toward NTP. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and collaborate across engineering, finance, legal, and construction teams.
Experience
Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of renewable energy development experience.
Strong familiarity with ISO/RTO processes.
Demonstrated ability to advance solar and storage projects through interconnection, permitting, and offtake milestones.
Preferred locations include Durham, NC or Los Angeles, CA.
