i. solutions is looking to hire a motivated Sales Engineer to build upon our success in the NewSpace and international sales markets, providing flight dynamics solutions using FreeFlyer to the next generation of space companies. FreeFlyer is a desktop software product that agencies like NASA, the US Space Force, and commercial customers worldwide rely upon to ensure the success of current and future crewed and uncrewed missions in all orbital regimes. A wider suite of tools, including Meridian and ObsSIM, are built on FreeFlyer to provide even greater functionality to users. FreeFlyer and this growing suite of customized applications have supported over 225 space missions including the International Space Station, Dream Chaser, and NewSpace entrants such as Momentus. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is passionate about space to build their technical and business skills and influence the next generation of space missions! The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Location: Lanham, MD, United States

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

Interface with customers through all phases of the sales cycle to identify, pursue, and close new FreeFlyer and Meridian software sales

Attend industry conferences and develop a global network

Initiate product evaluations, discuss pricing and licensing options, and present software product demonstrations both in‑person and remotely

Establish relationships with existing customers

Expand both university and international corporate partnerships

Use Salesforce to track future sales opportunities and maintain existing customer accounts

Work with the corporate marketing team to create and update promotional materials including blog posts, social media, FreeFlyer videos, and printed materials

Travel to conferences 4+ times a year both domestically and internationally when it is safe to do so

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

3 years of experience working in sales or on aerospace‑related topics

U.S. citizenship

Desired Background

Orbital mechanics/astrodynamics working knowledge, especially as it relates to commercial needs

Use of flight dynamics‑related modeling/simulation and computing tools, particularly FreeFlyer

SalesForce customer relationship management (CRM) tool experience

Ability to quickly connect in‑person and in writing, and to actively listen and perceive the needs, values, or opinions of others

Demonstrated leadership accomplishments academically and personally

Proactive in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
