Construction Earthwork Estimator
Job Roles And Responsibilities
Evaluate financial, technical, and operational risks associated with projects
Perform detailed data analysis and forecasting to support decision‑making
Review blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to understand project scope
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and proposals
Conduct quantity takeoffs and assess material requirements
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors during the bidding process
Review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and financial feasibility
Visit project sites to gather necessary data and insights
Support project planning, scheduling, and execution
Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are met
Implement and promote safety policies and procedures
Monitor project costs and perform post‑project cost analysis
Identify and evaluate land restoration and reclamation opportunities
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders
Qualifications And Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Professional Engineer certification preferred but not mandatory
Minimum of five years of experience in excavation, grading, or related construction fields
Strong knowledge of construction processes and estimation techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel to project sites as required
