SUMMARY The Designer supports the CEO/Principal Designer, and the Design Team in day‑to‑day design functions of Concetti. The Designer provides quality and intuitive designs to our clients, tailored to their needs, by supporting both design work and internal operations, through partnership with the Concetti team and under the direction of the Principal Designer. The Designer is creative, self‑motivated, eager to learn, and demonstrates strong design abilities and knowledge of business components of the industry. The Designer interacts with both a diverse clientele and internal team members. This role requires creativity, passion, excellent communication, strong understanding of construction, and fresh, evolving design skills. Depending on experience level, the designer may be responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules, as well as preparing and presenting design proposals and concepts to clients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Design

Assists the CEO/Principal Designer, Lead Designer, and the Design Team with projects and daily tasks

Works with clients on residential and commercial projects, leading through the Concetti Phased Design Process

Under the direction of the Principal and/or Lead Designer, works with clients on residential and commercial projects from full strategy to styling

Creates design solutions for review by Principal and/or Lead Designer for client approval

Supports client through the design process by following the phased approach (when appropriate)

Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and use of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination

Executes project in accordance with client design contract, budgeting for labor hours and writing change orders as needed

Embraces Concetti design process and follows process to ensure team cohesion

Conducts field measurements, verifies dimensions, and builds plans into Chief Architect

Creates any necessary construction/detail drawings to document design solution

Coordinates with contractors, architects, engineers, and trades to ensure job success

Maintains consistent communication with professionals, trades, and internal team

Creates and obtains quote requests

Estimates and sources architectural material requirements and costs, for review by Principal and/or Lead Designer to present to client for approval

Attends furniture delivery and installations in person

Regular and routine onsite attendance

Maintains client folders including marketing materials

Design Team Support

Maintains consistent communication with clients including progress report and creates and maintains project timeline

Assists with client photoshoots as needed

Keeps office clean & orderly

Helps to maintain Resource Library & accessory inventory

Helps with procurement tasks as needed

Actively collaborates with marketing team to document the design process and support Concetti brand initiatives

Other

Works harmoniously and collaboratively with team members to accomplish agency objectives

All other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

Required Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture preferably from a CIDA accredited institution

Experience Requirements

Preferred 3–5 years of experience in Interior Design

Software Experience

Experience & proficiency working with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), Mac computers and devices, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva, Chief Architect, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest

Knowledge – Design

Knowledge of all aspects of Interior Design from inception to completion, including:

Design and materials for residential and commercial projects

Elements & principles of design

Architectural selections, flooring, cabinets, tile, lighting, etc.

FF&E selections, furniture, window treatments, area rugs, art and accessories

Space planning methodology

Conduct field measures

Budget management

Creation of precision technical plans, drawings, and models

Design trends, material costs, building codes and ADA laws, building systems, and construction methods
