We are seeking a
RF Engineer
to support the design, analysis, and optimization of wireless and microwave (MW) communication systems. This role is ideal for candidates early in their careers who are looking to build hands‑on experience in RF design, microwave transport systems, and wireless network planning. Key Responsibilities Support assigned engineering projects and day-to-day RF design tasks Perform
link budget calculations , reliability analysis, and path feasibility studies for wireless systems Assist in the design and optimization of
microwave (MW) links
using tools such as Pathloss 6 Conduct terrain profiling, diffraction analysis, fade margin calculations, and link availability assessments Participate in
microwave path surveys , including line‑of‑sight (LOS) verification, obstacle identification, and documentation Help optimize MW links for capacity, availability, and interference mitigation across licensed and unlicensed bands Support evaluation and integration of microwave radio platforms (e.g., Nokia, Aviat, and other vendors) Review RF configurations, antenna systems, and basic tower loading considerations Assist in wireless network design (LTE/5G, Narrowband, Land Mobile Radio) using Infovista Planet Perform coverage analysis, frequency planning, and interference analysis under supervision Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field 5+ years of relevant experience
in RF engineering, wireless systems, or microwave communications Basic understanding of RF principles, microwave transport systems, and wireless network design Familiarity with RF engineering tools such as
Pathloss 6
and/or
Infovista Planet Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Ability to work both independently and within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Internship or project experience in RF design or wireless communications Exposure to LTE/5G, microwave backhaul, or land mobile radio systems Familiarity with RF equipment vendors such as Nokia or Aviat Understanding of FCC regulations and wireless industry standards Additional Information Travel:
