
Senior Tax Analyst

Position Purpose
The Sr. Tax Analyst will play a key role in managing and ensuring the company's compliance with all sales and use (S&U), federal, and state tax regulations. This position involves the timely and accurate preparation of S&U taxes, annual reports, review of various tax filings, assisting with tax planning initiatives, supporting tax audits, and conducting research on complex tax issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a proactive self-starter, and capable of collaborating with various internal departments. Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
Prepare and file multi-state S&U tax returns, annual reports, review federal and state income tax returns prepared by external consultants, extensions, and estimated payments on a quarterly, and annual basis. Liaison with external tax advisors to provide accounting records, of various business units to ensure complete and accurate reporting. Perform quarterly reconciliations of all tax-related general ledger accounts. Assist with non-US jurisdictions and manage the Consolidated tax calendar to ensure all deliverables are being met in a timely and efficient manner. Assist the VP of tax to review YE tax provision, prepare provision to return reconciliation in accordance with ASC 740. Support the VP of tax in forecasting income tax expense, specifically current expense for the Forecasting process. Audit & Support
Gather necessary documentation and provide support any federal, state, and local, Sales and Use tax audits. Respond to and resolve notices and inquiries from various taxing jurisdictions in a timely manner. Assist in the management of exemption certificates, including the collection, validation, and retention process. Process Improvement & Collaboration
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Legal) to address tax-related inquiries and ensure accurate processing of transactions. Identify and implement process improvements and leverage tax software (e.g., Vertex, NetSuite, Avalara) to streamline tax operations and increase efficiency. Assist the Tax Manager with special projects and other multifunctional duties as needed. Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience, with specific experience in Sales & Use tax compliance and exposure to federal and state income tax. Desired Competencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and tax compliance software (e.g., Vertex, Net Suite, OneSource) is highly desirable. Soft Skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
