Description The Vice President, Commercial Lender identifies, acquires, and grows new and existing profitable business relationships with businesses that create value for customers while generating loan commitments and deposit balances for the organization. This position is responsible for developing commercial lending opportunities, managing client portfolios, and providing sound financial guidance while maintaining acceptable risk levels. Responsibilities
Develop and retain commercial business by meeting with prospects and customers involving average to significant complexity and dollar size, consistent with authorized lending authority. Utilize sales leads and referrals to generate new loan and deposit opportunities. Maintain required tracking mechanisms for sales activity. Provide financial advice and counsel to customers and prospective customers. Attend to customer needs for loans or lines of credit involving significant unsecured funds and/or credit secured by mortgages or other collateral. Interview applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, objectives, and earning capacity. Manage all phases of the sales life cycle. Utilize decision-making tools and credit analysis skills to make appropriate credit and structuring decisions. Manage existing loan portfolios by monitoring financial conditions relative to acceptable risk standards. Complete all required paperwork, forms, and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; a focus in a business or finance related area is preferred. Seven to ten years of commercial lending and banking management experience required including three years in senior management. What we offer
