
Commissions Analyst

About the Role
Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking to add a Commissions Analyst to the team. As a Commissions Analyst, you will work cross‑functionally with leaders in Sales, Finance, HR, and Accounting. The primary responsibility will be to ensure variable compensation for our quota‑bearing employees and external agents is distributed with accuracy, transparency, and on schedule.
What You’ll Do
Understand the various commission structures and calculations to process payments accurately and timely for multiple business units according to compensation plans and internal policies
Prepare and review commission reports for accuracy and completeness – reconciling any issues through cross‑functional collaboration
Responsible for developing and providing sales leaders, finance, HR and any other departments recurring, and various financial reporting/analysis related to commissions and/or on an ad‑hoc basis
Research and respond to commission‑related variances as requested by management or commissioned employees in a timely, diplomatic and professional matter
Leverage information technology to enhance data analysis on commission plans to predict future commissions based on sales behavior
Consistently review processes and procedures for improvement opportunities and efficiency enhancements, including partnering with development to automate processes and reports where feasible
Identifying and implementing process improvements in daily processes
Additional accounting or operational projects as assigned
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (or related areas)
2+ years of experience as a financial analyst, sales analyst, sales operations support or commission analyst role
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel
Prior experience using Salesforce strongly preferred but not required
High energy and ability to multi‑task
Strong analytical skills and attention‑to‑detail
Ability to work in a high volume, fast‑paced environment
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively
