Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Summary The Commercial Lines Account Manager will play a vital role in supporting their assigned team by assisting in managing the day-to-day servicing of commercial insurance accounts, including processing policy changes, endorsements, audits, cancellations, premium finance agreements, and renewals. This role involves reviewing policies, coordinating with carriers, preparing client-facing documents such as certificates of insurance and evidence of property, and supporting marketing efforts for new and renewal business. The Account Manager maintains accurate records in AMS360 and ImageRight, and ensures timely invoicing and payment follow-up. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence are essential to fostering positive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Process new mail, policy change requests, endorsements, audits, cancellations, premium finance agreements, and automatic renewals.

Review existing policies and endorsements, request changes to carriers as needed, under the direction of assigned AE.

Invoice and follow up for payments.

Gather supplemental applications, workers compensation forms, review exposure summaries, and P&L for upcoming renewals.

Generate proof insurance including auto id cards, certificates of insurance, workers compensation posting notices and evidence of property insurance.

Understand the elements of a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and Evidence of Property (EPI) and prepare for distribution in all different types of coverage on commercial accounts.

Prepare Certificate holder list for client review.

Gather underwriting information from property appraiser, ISO, VIN verification, etc.

Run MVR’s and review following company guidelines.

Run Renewal reports and enter data onto ResourcePro reporting spreadsheet.

Conduct online rating using carrier portals to support quoting and proposal development.

Assist with creating and preparing insurance proposals.

Work collaboratively with Account Executive with the preparation of specifications and applications for marketing renewal and preparing new business submissions.

Participate in renewal meeting, strategy determination, and marketing and carrier negotiations.

Maintain accurate client records in AMS360 & ImageRight, ensuring data integrity and compliance with agency requirements.

Prepare AOR/BOR’s as needed.

Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other client-facing documents as needed.

Order Loss Runs.

Attends industry related continuing education training and courses.

Perform other duties as required to support the team and ensure client satisfaction.

Desired Education, Skills, and Experience

FL 4-40 required, FL 2-20 or willingness to obtain

Experience with AMS360 and ImageRight preferred.

1-2 years of experience in the insurance industry or similar role preferred

Knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations.

Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with insurance agency management systems (AMS).
