Location: San Francisco, CA or Austin, TX Start Date: 2026 Our client is seeking a highly driven Associate with 2+ years of experience to join their lower‑middle‑market private equity team. This is a lean team, high‑responsibility environment offering exposure across deal sourcing, underwriting, diligence, and portfolio operations. Key Responsibilities
Support proactive deal sourcing initiatives, thematic research, and pipeline development Build and manage detailed financial models and valuations Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive landscaping Participate in all phases of due diligence across new investment opportunities Prepare investment committee materials, board presentations, and written analyses Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a strong academic institution with a 3.5+ GPA 2+ years of experience in investment banking Strong exposure to technology or software or tech‑enabled services Open to Private Equity laterals (With under 1 year of buyside experience) Highly analytical, motivated, strong modeling skills and comfortable operating within small teams
