Position overview: Jewish National Fund-USA seeks to recruit a Director, Austin to be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term philanthropic and leadership development strategies with a significant focus on fundraising. The Director will be responsible for fundraising throughout Austin and will work out of Jewish National Fund-USA's Austin, TX office. Job responsibilities : Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle Manage a list of 250-350 donors and prospects for which you will be the primary account manager for cultivation and solicitation purposes Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors, both new and prospective Identify and develop new donor prospects for the Major Gifts Campaign & General Campaign, and strategies to grow both campaign categories Provide community Board, Committee, and/or Affinity Group development, cultivation, management, and leadership Work closely with key lay leaders, on and off your Board and Committees, to grow the campaign and JNF-USA's footprint in Austin Attend and lead or co-lead monthly meetings and events which take place in the evening and occasional weekends Plan and manage all donor-facing aspects of events, including leadership selection & communication, program development, seating, etc. Work towards building an Austin campaign of $3M In partnership with your supervisor, develop and execute quarterly, annual, and long-term growth strategies in Austin Recruit for Jewish National Fund-USA Missions to Israel Recruit for Jewish National Fund-USA Global Conference Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Qualifications: At least 5 years of relative experience in fundraising, sales, or other roles that demonstrate metric-driven, progressive growth and consistent target achievement Bachelor's Degree Deep understanding of donor and/or customer research, identification, cultivation and solicitation/closing, and stewardship Proven success in building and maintaining long-term relationships with donors, customers, funders, or other partners and stakeholders Proven success in closing major gifts or high-stakes pitches or deals Ability to effectively interact with key communal leaders, sponsors, high-level decision makers, and donor prospects A creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative thinker, able to execute existing national and local strategies while identifying gaps and finding new ways to grow the business Superior multi-tasking skills, allowing for simultaneous management of people, projects, and programs Ability to respect and maintain discretion and donor confidentiality Desire and ability to travel throughout Central Texas, for annual Global Conference, and occasional travel to Israel Knowledge of the Austin Jewish Community a strong plus Days off for all work-prohibitive Jewish holidays, in addition to the secular US holidays 3pm close-of-business on Fridays Top-notch healthcare (including dental and vision) Parental Leave policy Employer-paid life insurance Employer-paid short and long-term disability 403(b) with 10.5% employer contribution Opportunities to travel to Israel Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 Pay Type: Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role.
