Associate Product Manager, Subscriptions

Job Description The Associate Product Manager, Membership is responsible for improving specific user journeys across the membership lifecycle, such as registration, subscription purchase, renewal, and cancellation. In this role, you’ll work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Engineering, Design, Growth, and Customer Experience partners to optimize key lifecycle flows.

You’ll collaborate closely with product teams to ship improvements quickly while building clear requirements and measurement that support reuse and consistency across multiple products and experiences.

Job Responsibilities

Partner cross‑functionally to define, launch, and optimize registration and subscription capabilities across multiple products.

Work closely with engineering to ensure seamless integrations and intuitive user flows across identity and commerce systems.

Synthesize user needs, business goals, and data insights into clear, actionable product requirements.

Use experimentation, analytics, and qualitative feedback to inform prioritization and product decisions.

Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support efficient delivery.

Build and maintain a prioritized backlog of feature enhancements and bug fixes.

Partner with external vendors as needed to advocate for fixes, improvements, and timely delivery.

Help define and track success metrics focused on conversion, retention, and churn reduction.

Communicate priorities, tradeoffs, and progress to cross‑functional stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

1+ year of product management experience or relevant experience in core product activities such as user research, requirements gathering, writing user stories, or delivering new user‑facing capabilities.

1+ year of experience with membership or subscription services, including direct‑to‑consumer purchasing flows.

Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners and aligning on shared goals.

Strong communication skills across multiple formats, including written documentation and presentations.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with subscription lifecycle concepts such as funnel optimization, renewals, cancellations, and churn drivers.

Exposure to agile product development practices and iterative release cycles.

Experience contributing to shared or reusable capabilities used by multiple teams.

Experience coordinating with external vendors (e.g., implementation support, validation, or release management).
