A well-established, growth-focused middle market private equity firm based in Chicago is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join its team. This is a high-visibility role supporting a global LP base across fundraising, reporting, and investor communications.
What You'll Do
Serve as a key point of contact for a global LP base, handling reporting, portal access, capital activity, and ad hoc investor requests Own the quarterly reporting cycle — compiling, reviewing, and distributing investor updates, memos, and supporting materials Build and maintain investor presentations and marketing collateral for both existing LPs and prospective investors Respond to DDQs, RFIs, and consultant database requests with accurate, well-packaged information Support the firm's fundraising process, including diligence materials, pipeline tracking, and CRM management Assist with logistics and content preparation for annual investor meetings and LP events Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to support investor communications Coordinate on press releases and other external communications as needed What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required; 2+ years of experience in private equity, banking, consulting, or a finance/accounting function Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you'll be client-facing and your work product needs to reflect it Detail-oriented to a fault; accuracy and polish matter here Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines without dropping the ball Self-starter who can own a workload independently while collaborating well with a small, senior team Strong analytical instincts and sound judgment under pressure Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
