The Assistant Director of Student Professional Development will be responsible for the implementation, management, oversight and success of professional development for all Luter undergraduate and graduate programs. The Assistant Director will be responsible for the oversight and administration of the Signature Scholar Program (a voluntary co-curricular program for all undergraduate Luter/business students, which enhances students’ academic experience with business and professional skill development). The Assistant Director will support Luter School of Business enrollment management efforts, including student recruitment, undergraduate admission, transfer and pre-business student advising, study abroad and course transfer facilitation, and course scheduling assistance. Additionally, this position will support the Luter School of Business’s new student orientation, create social media content, and facilitate internship, job, and career opportunities in collaboration with the Center for Career Planning. Responsibilities
Responsible for oversight and management of undergraduate and graduate student professional development to include on and off-campus speakers engagement opportunities. Work with the Luter faculty to host business partners. Coordinate the Luter Signature Scholars program for undergraduate students, including tracking events and attendance and communicating progress with students. Plan and administer the Luter School of Business mentorship program for undergraduate and graduate students. Promote and seek internship and job opportunities for Luter students, in collaboration with the CNU Center for Career Planning. Track completion and student success. Oversee Luter Scholarship Awards, including application, review, and distribution. Chair Luter School of Business Scholarship Committee. Work closely with CNU’s Center for Career Planning to ensure the delivery of successful programming and services critical to Luter students’ professional success. Facilitate internships, jobs, and career development opportunities. Serve as coordinator, assisting faculty with student competitions and student clubs. Supervise graduate student assistants in the administration of the MFinA program. Supervise undergraduate student assistants in the administration of Luter activities. Advise incoming pre-business and transfer students, assisting with plans of study and orientation to ensure seamless transition. Assist in the preparation of Luter School of Business data requests, internal data collection, and external reports. Participate in event planning. Serve as Co-Chair of the Luter Connect networking dinner. Coordinate Luter’s new student orientation program. Advise pre-business and transfer students in support of Luter enrollment management activities. Participate in the Luter School of Business student recruitment and admission process. Assist in the preparation of Luter marketing materials and social media content. Plan and participate in Luter School of Business alumni engagement activities. Follow workplace safety regulations and adhere to applicable standards, processes, and programs established for your position. Report unsafe work conditions to your supervisor. Immediately report work-related incidents to your supervisor and participate in accident investigation requests. Develop and maintain very positive and professional customer service and/or relations within the office/department and with all constituencies to include students, faculty, staff, guests, and employees. Required Education: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with work experience that equates to an advanced degree. Additional Consideration - Education: Professional certification in a field related to professional development, career counseling, advising, student success, or other content-relevant fields. Experience Required: Experience in advising, mentoring, or coaching, and establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the business community. Project management experience, e.g., meeting facilitation, time management, project oversight, etc. Additional Consideration - Experience: Experience with event planning and execution. Experience conducting professional development services or advising, designing and implementing professional development workshops or orientations. Program development experience (e.g., budgeting, fundraising, staff and volunteer supervision). Salary Information
