Job Summary
WJHG/WECP, Northwest Florida’s leading news stations, seeks a Director/Technical Media Producer in Panama City Beach, Florida. The candidate will serve as the TMP during newscasts, work in Master Control, air live breaks, ingest programming, commercials, etc. for the station’s five channels. The role requires a flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience at least at the Production Assistant level is required; preference given to those with directing and/or Master Control experience.
Duties / Responsibilities
Serve as a Technical Media Producer for live and pre‑recorded productions.
Work efficiently with little supervision.
Operate and troubleshoot equipment in studio, production, and Master Control areas.
Use ENPS Newsroom, Ross Production Systems, and NVerzion Automation.
Work closely with other departments to meet daily demands.
Assist in training new personnel as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
Proficient with Ross Overdrive, Ross Carbonite Ultra60 Softpanel Switcher, Ross Caprica, TuningS/Panasonic PTZ Studio Cameras, and all supporting equipment in the Media Control Center and Master Control Area.
Experience of at least 2 years in the Television/IT industry is helpful but not required.
Variable work schedule due to changing shifts, turnover, station projects, etc.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
