Regular, Full-Time, tenure‑track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
Teaching – 50%: Course load of 2‑3 courses per semester term (approximately 50% of workload). Deliver courses online, hybrid, or face‑to‑face.
Service – 10%: Service in college committees.
Scholarship – 40%: Research and faculty development.
Required Qualifications
Hold (or receive before start) a PhD in Marketing or closely related field.
Demonstrated capability or potential in developing discipline‑relevant peer‑reviewed intellectual contributions.
Demonstrated capability or potential for teaching excellence within the discipline.
Experience in hospitality.
Consistent with SACSCOC accreditation requirements.
Evidence of ability as a teacher.
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned.
Successful experience (waived for new entrants meeting other requirements).
Desirable personal qualities judged on interview, biographical data, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Effective teaching experience in digital marketing and/or social media at the undergraduate level.
Record of excellence in teaching and learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Published or forthcoming peer‑reviewed publications in marketing and related disciplines.
Prior work experience in digital marketing and/or social media.
Interest in interaction and relationship‑building with local businesses, industry, and stakeholders.
Online teaching experience.
Shift/Salary/Benefits The position is academic‑year based, typically from August through May, and is full‑time (FTE 1.0). Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and are subject to availability of funds.
