Description This position supports the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control Protocol & Customer Engagement team, managing strategy, planning, communications, and execution of high‑visibility customer engagements, executive visits, ceremonies, internal recognitions, and other executive‑level events across multiple locations, primarily Orlando, Florida; Troy, Alabama; and other U.S. sites.

What You Will Be Doing

Design and deliver exceptional experiences that showcase Lockheed Martin’s values, capabilities, and mission for both internal and external audiences.

Coordinate VIP visits, customer engagements, ceremonies, and special events across Orlando, Troy, and other U.S. sites.

Create and execute communications and engagement strategies aligned with enterprise and MFC priorities.

Develop communications artifacts (invitations, itineraries, briefing packets) that support internal and external events.

Provide protocol guidance to project teams and advise senior leadership on basic protocol standards, domestic customs, and compliance best practices.

Track event budgets, manage vendor relationships, and achieve cost‑effective, high‑impact outcomes, escalating issues as needed.

Basic Qualifications

U.S. citizen eligible for a Secret security clearance.

Willing and able to travel domestically as required.

Proven track record planning and executing executive‑level and high‑profile events.

Experience creating and implementing communications plans.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and event/project management software.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Desired Skills

Understanding of Lockheed Martin’s customer base, technologies, and business operations.

Knowledge of protocol, ceremonial standards, and customer engagement strategies.

Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills.

Demonstrated budget management, vendor negotiation, and logistical planning expertise.

Previous experience in communications, protocol, business development, or military liaison roles is strongly preferred.

Security Clearance: This position requires a Secret clearance and a U.S. citizenship.
