
Preconstruction Manager - Commercial / Multifamily Construction

We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to support and lead preconstruction efforts for ground‑up commercial and multifamily projects with a well‑established general contractor. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong estimating background who are ready to take on a more strategic, client‑facing position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction efforts from concept through project start
Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and cost analyses
Manage subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, and buyout processes
Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams during design phases
Provide value engineering solutions and cost guidance
Support project handoff to operations teams
Qualifications
Ideally 5‑10+ years of experience in preconstruction and/or estimating with a general contractor
Strong experience with ground‑up commercial or multifamily projects (required)
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication and client‑facing skills
Experience with preconstruction tools and software
