As a Sales Manager on our Scouting team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, forging relationships, and representing our brand with passion and integrity. Our Trails-End platform simplifies and amplifies fundraising efforts, enabling Scouting America to achieve their goals and focus on what matters most. We're a team of driven and action-oriented individuals who are passionate about empowering youth to achieve their dreams.
Location: Indianapolis, IN (In-Office)
Travel Requirements: Seasonal based travel to council locations by regional need. Roughly 25-35% travel based on sales cycle.
HOW WILL YOU HELP US GROW?
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Leverage our relationships and internal tools in any way possible to drive growth.
- Sales Presentation: Deliver captivating sales presentations to individuals and groups. Tailor presentations to address specific client concerns and preferences.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients, offering continuous support and service. Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions. Utilize this knowledge to position our technology and products effectively and provide your councils with pertinent information.
- Sales Reporting: Keep precise and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress toward sales targets. Prepare regular reports for your Sales Leader as needed.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities adhere to Scouting requirements and company policies, maintaining confidentiality of client information and upholding the highest ethical standards.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE?
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales with proven results.
- Action-oriented and results driven leadership skillset with a strong drive to win!
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and manage a flexible schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Comfortable using CRM tools like HubSpot.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with volunteer-led organizations, especially in youth or nonprofit sectors.
- Understanding of Scouting or similar youth programs.
- Comfortable reviewing performance data and turning insights into simple next steps.
