Special Education Office Clerk
Facilitate the efficient operation of the special education office and provide clerical services to the Director of Special Education Programs. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD. Qualifications
Minimum Education /Experience High School Diploma or GED Specific Knowledge/Skills Proficient work processing and file maintenance skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently Strong organizational skills and knowledge of office procedures Effective communication and interpersonal skills Minimum Experience Minimum of 3 years secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment Major Responsibilities and Duties
Organize and manage routine work activities and records with little supervision. Compile information and prepare various reports for the department. Provide assistance in scheduling professional learning opportunities for the special education department. Maintain filing and tracking systems for the special education department professional learning opportunities. Perform varied editing, typing and computer tasks in the preparation of correspondence, forms, manuals, reports, etc. Process incoming mail for the director. Maintain filing and tracking systems for the department financial and travel records. Assist department and staff with reporting absences into AESOP. Make travel arrangements for department staff. Ensure confidentiality in dealing with student records, staff records, parents and employees. Enter, receive, verify and approve payment on purchase orders for administrative staff. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned. Working Conditions
