
RECREATION LEADER I (Part-Time)

About The Position
Assists groups or classes in music, dance, dramatics, arts and crafts, team and individual sports, and various other social and recreational programs; provides leadership in athletic activities; directs and maintains discipline in indoor and outdoor play areas; observes necessary precautions to ensure the safety of recreation participants and spectators; renders first aid in cases of minor injury; maintains records; and performs other duties as required. Ideal Candidate & Qualifications
Training and Experience:
- At least seventeen (17) years of age - No experience is necessary
Knowledge and Skills in:
The rules and skills involved in one or more recreational activities; objectives and methods of recreation programs; methods of enlisting the support, interest, and participation of children and adults; good physical condition.
Ability to:
Maintain discipline among children engaged in play; present written and oral reports; work cooperatively with others.
Licenses, Certifications, or Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
