Secretary To The Director Of Student Services
Position: Secretary to the Director of Student Services Hours: 8:00 am- 4:00pm Building: Belmont Work Days : 1900/12months Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Director of Student Services and professional staff within Student Services units (Special Education, Gifted Education, School Counselors, Related Service Providers, Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses, Registration and Residency Verification, and contracted staff) i.e., assisting on projects, managing communications, scheduling, monitoring staff attendance, maintenance requests, mileage reimbursement for all staff members and registration and tracking of administrative and professional meeting days. Supports the District Registration process, including Residency Verification Monitors and maintains Student Services budget, including initial collection of needs requests, order preparation, distribution of supplies, monthly review of budget run, etc., as well as monitoring and submitting related budget and state/federal reports. Assists (i.e., gathers information) in Special Education State Plan, Student Tuitions, contracted services, securing and assignment of translators for State Testing, and IEP/parent meeting as requested, and related reporting; and Board presentation materials. Assists the Director of Student Services by providing administrative support related to Student Services operations and communications Maintains Homebound and Home School student information. Monitors and completes out-of-district placements, maintains communication with service providers, APSs, and private schools. Performs end-of-school-year student file reorganization and records transfer. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications:
High School diploma. Strong technology skills in reporting, database management, and Excel Strong Communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Experience in upholding confidentiality. Excellent administrative and clerical skills. Knowledge of general office procedures and ability to operate office machinery. Ability to be flexible. Three (3) years of experience in a similar occupation preferred.
