Associate I, Building Materials
The Associate I, Building Materials provides effective administrative support to the site location, serves as first contact with vendors and customers, and offers consultation to existing clientele. Key activities include visualizing, fulfilling, and implementing the company vision and core values; managing incoming calls and information requests; assisting in the management of operational and sales activities; greeting and assessing customer needs; engaging customers, vendors, and business associates; efficiently processing customer orders/quotes and other transactions; assisting customers in problem resolution; developing a clear understanding of customer needs and providing relevant design and project support; organizing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail; performing various administrative tasks; ordering and maintaining office supplies inventory; performing miscellaneous office and building management tasks; reviewing, understanding, and adhering to policies and procedures; performing all duties in compliance with safety requirements; and other duties as assigned. Knowledge and skills include excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; the ability to accurately assess customer project and design needs and provide proactive solutions; strong computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; high level of organization and detail orientation; and high level of professionalism and personal responsibility. Education/experience includes a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a degree or background relevant to interior design/construction or a related field. Physical requirements include sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs; repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment; and occasional exposure to outside elements.
