Sports & Entertainment Specialist

Sports and Entertainment Specialist – Lotus Media Group Overview: The Sports and Entertainment Specialist is responsible for covering local sports, arts, entertainment, and community events for the platform. This role will produce engaging content across written, photo, and video formats while supporting cross-promotion between the web platform and the 541 Radio network. Responsibilities: Cover local high school and regional sports. Attend sporting events and community activities to gather content Assist in on site coverage of sporting events with radio staff Capture photos and video as needed to support coverage Produce written content related to sports, arts, entertainment, and local events Collaborate with the manager of The Score to ensure accurate and consistent sports coverage across radio and digital platforms Assist with cross-posting and promotion between the web platform and radio stations Identify and develop stories that highlight local culture, recreation, and community Maintain consistent publishing schedules and meet deadlines Perform other duties as assigned to support platform growth and audience engagement

Preferred Qualifications: Interest in local sports, arts, and community events Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage Basic photography and video skills or willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience: Experience covering sports or live events Familiarity with photography, videography, or multimedia production Experience working with digital publishing platforms Experience collaborating across teams or media channels
